Question about brakes

Question:

I had the car jacked up today trying to find the cause of an annoying rattle (which I’ve narrowed down to the brake calipers).

Anyway, I span the drivers side wheel with my hand and I noticed that with every revolution of the wheel, there is a point where the rotor (or shiny disc as I thought it was called) rubs against the brake caliper. The wheel then seems to slow down because of this and stops after about two revolutions.

I’ve heard it a lot lately when driving at low speeds but thought nothing of it.

Is this supposed to happen or do I have a buckled rotor or something? I had the same thing happen with my mountain bike when I was about ten, and it was bad news!
Answer:

so its going up and down rather than side to side? sorry that kind of confusin,

either way you prob need new rotors and calipers, but best to get it checked out to make sure its not a problem with the hub or bearing
